The starry sky above me…

One of the things which got stuck in my head still from the times of my studies is that the trends never pass. They evolve. I already do not remember who said that but initially I did not want to believe in such a strange theory. How is it – if they do not pass why different things are fashionable every season? Only when I had carefully observed new collections, I admitted that there is much truth in this.
Let’s take the motif of sky as an example.
In summer the galactic motifs on clothes were the hit (with the brilliant collection of Setareh Mohtarez).

Now the galactic motif appeared on… nails (I reccomend great "space nails tutorial" by Andrea), and on the clothes it turned into a star pattern, the same as from the Dolce&Gabbana collection (a blouse with this motif is one of my autumn „must have”).

Crystal Reen in Vogue Japan, October 2011
My collage: Dolce&Gabbana bag, Crystal Reen in Vogue Japan (October 2011), Jessie J in Glamour UK (August 2011), Anne Hathaway in British Marie Claire (September 2011)
... and my last drawing:)

Following further the „sky” motif, in a way it is possible to foresee what will be fashionable next summer. And, when I came to think that these will be the patterns of clouds, I found these colourful but terrifying photo from the show of Walter Van Beirendoncka
Hmmm… I hope that the galactic trend shall develop in a different direction but I do not imagine wearing anything like this for work :) hahaha

PS. Apart from Mr and Ms Cloud, the eccentric designer proposes also the look à la Tree or Chicken :)

PS. Oprócz Pana i Pani Chmurki ekscentryczny projektant proponuje także look ala Drzewko lub Kurczak :)
But this is a quite different story…
I wish you all a nice and creative day :) xx

Ale to już zupełnie inna historia…
Miłego i kreatywnego dnia dla wszystkich:) buziaki

My first thought was how 80s your gorgeous illustration reads...so that quote is quite accurate! I will not, however, be jumping on the chicken train!
